The original Comet was a 1926 race boat designed by Charlie Parker and built by Stanley Boat Works of Cape Vincent NY. This methodical repoduction was built by a master boat builder in the Pacific Northwest. He first laid eyes on the original Comet years ago and vowed to one day recreate it. This 25' reprodcution is his dream come to fruition.

Built from Ken Bassett's line drawings of the original, the boat is framed in Sapele and planked in Khaya. It features a cold molded hull, original period correct hardware (minus 2 scoops on the boat being from the 50's.) Painstakingly recreated down to period correct rub rail being used from a 1920's Hacker, and a fully custom made bow light to complete the look.

The boat features 21 coats of Varnish and is fully turn key. Having personally been on this boat I can attest to its power and incredibly smooth ride.

Bottom

A modern West System bottom was part of the cold molded build of the boat. The bottom features 4 layers of Jobert plywood and is 7/8" thick. It has 2 layers of West System cloth incorporated. 

Engine

Powered by a Mercruiser 350 putting out 270hp, with less than 100 hours on the engine.

Interior:

The interior features a 1920's era Garwood gauge panel that has been fully restored by Clawson Classic Instruments. Even the steering wheel is a genuine piece from the 1920s, staying true to the era.
