The 1962 Chris-Craft 27' Silver Comet was Chris-Crafts first attempt at utilizing aluminum in a hull. It features the luxurious characteristics of the wooden hulled boats without the maintenance of a wooden bottom. Regular haul outs for cleaning were completed in 2002, 2010, 2015 and 2020.

Bottom

The bottom on the Silver Comet is aluminum and requires limited maintenance. Trim tabs were added during restoration. 

Hardware

All Hardware shows as new and all wood on the boat was stripped, repaired and refinished in 2002.

Engine

Both engines were replaced in 2002 with Chevy 350 crate engines. They are rated at 330hp and have 1130 hours to date on each engine.

Interior

All wiring has been redone and upgraded, as well as the battery system. A stereo was added, as well as a modern toilet. The stove was also converted to propane.

The boat comes with a swim platform and ladder, installed anchor and capstan, cover, tonneau, side curtains, 3 fire extinguishers and a spotlight.

Trailer

Included is a 1990 triple axle trailer.
