Port Carling
1950 18' PORT CARLING SEABIRD
This classic 1950 18' Port Carling Seabird was acquired by the current owner in 1999 as a restoration project. The extensive restoration was completed in 2006 by Salt Creek Boatworks in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since then, the boat has been used annually and stored in a boathouse on a freshwater lake in western North Carolina.
Bottom
The bottom was upgraded in 2006 to a West System no soak, as part of the extensive restoration.
Hull
Framing was replaced, all hullside planks came off and were replaced if needed, sanded and stained. Once replaced there were 12 coats of varnish applied.
Engine
Powered by a Chris-Craft KO 95hp straight 6 that was rebuilt in 2006 and serviced in the spring and fall. Has under 500 hours on the rebuild.
Interior
All the wiring was replaced, as well as a new set of gauges were installed. The seats were completely refreshed with new padding and fabric.
Hardware
A replacement windshield was fitted, and all hardware was rechromed in 2006.
Options
This Seabird comes with a cover, fire extinguisher and bilge pump.
Trailer
A single axle 2002 Bayliner trailer is included as part of the sale.
