Absolute Classics is a Kelowna based business, established in 1988. We specialize in the restoration and sales of classic mahogany boats and related products for clients around the world.

Due to an expanding niche market and significant growth, we are currently searching for a skilled woodworker to join our Crew of like-minded individuals. Ideal candidates will embody an uplifting attitude, have integrity, an openness to learn, possess a very strong work ethic and enjoy working with their hands to create.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions and the methodical process of restoration
  • Complete assigned tasks
  • Learn necessary skills in the area of disassembly, templating & fitting, hand tool use, fairing, staining, varnishing and outfitting the boat for use on the water
  • Effective use of time is important as is productivity, being able to stay on task and be self motivated
  • Hit targeted billable project hours and accurately track them through Shop Monkey, our work order system
  • Keeping the workshops clean and organized

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of finishing, wood working experience and the use of power tools including hand planes
  • 3 - 5 years working in a shop environment as part of a team

Assets:

  • Boat building experience
  • Lead hand/Leadership experience in a shop environment

Available Hours 35 – 40 hours/week, wages based on experience and skillset

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
