This is a first year model for the third generation post war ‘blonde deck’ runabouts for Chris Craft which were made up to 1958 in this ‘bullnose’ style. They replaced the popular Riviera’s of the early 50’s with similar styling but with more current automotive styling touches like wrap the around windshield.
This boat is reported to have been a fresh water boat sold and used in the mid west and had been under a full restoration by us for a client in Europe. He has unfortunately had to make the tough decision to sell it as the cost of ocean shipping to Europe has skyrocketed and their import taxes have also increased making it not feasible to continue.
The boat has complete new no soak bottom.
Replaced some planks on the hull and deck and finished it with correct stain and 12 coats of varnish.
It has all of it’s original Chrome hardware that has been re-plated, as well as restored gauges, electrical and steering wheel.
The boat also has it’s original Chris Craft Hercules KBL triple carb engine which was checked over to be in good overall condition and is just awaiting three new rebuilt carbs before installation in the boat. Should you not want a three carb set up we could convert it to a single or dual carb set up as well for a slight additional cost.
All the running gear – prop, prop shaft, rudder, throttle and shift linkages, fuel supply and tank, etc were also serviced or replaced.
Crash pad and black pyramid flooring included in price. The non-original upholstery could be replaced with your choice of colors etc. at additional cost.
It currently does not have a trailer but we could source one for it with some options for both new and used. It does not have a waterline cover but one could be supplied at extra cost as well.
